Music has a remarkable way of moving us. We turn to it for a boost of energy, a moment of calm, a way to connect with others, or simply to enjoy some quiet time alone. However we use it, the possibilities are as endless as our imagination.

Join us for this experiential workshop and discover how music can be used intentionally to support healthy ageing. Led by registered music therapists, you will have the opportunity to explore practical ways to bring more music into your everyday life. No musical training or experience needed, just an appreciation for music and an open mind!

Alicia Hu (HCPC-UK)

Alicia Hu is a UK-registered music therapist currently working at Dover Park Hospice. She is registered with the Neurologic Music Therapist fellowship and is also trained in MATADOC (Music Therapy Assessment Tool for Awareness in Disorders of Consciousness) assessment as well as Guided Imagery & Music (Level 1)

In her career as a music therapist, Alicia worked with diverse populations, from young babies to adults at end-of-life. She has extensive experience working with the older adult population, using music to engage, empower and enhance the lives of people she works with, such as those living with dementia, on a rehabilitation journey, or with life-limiting illness.

Alicia Ng (MT-BC)

Alicia Ng is a music therapist currently practicing in a hospital setting. She holds a Master of Arts in Music Therapy, training in Neurologic Music Therapy, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Drawing from her current clinical work and background across diverse medical and community internships, Alicia uses a grounded, person-centered approach to support individuals navigating health challenges.

Krystal Wee (MT-BC)

Krystal is a music therapist whose clinical work has focused on supporting individuals living with dementia, those receiving hospice and palliative care, and their families. She believes meaningful therapy begins by entering each client's world, creating music experiences that foster genuine connection, preserve identity, and offer comfort, joy, and hope.
